Cedar Park Med is hiring Registered Nurses (RN) for a full-time contract opportunity in a secure correctional facility in Columbia, SC.

This assignment offers a steady 3x12 schedule, day or night shift options, weekly pay, and long-term potential in a structured clinical environment with clear protocols and onsite support.

This role is a strong fit for an RN who is confident in assessment, medication administration, and working in a secure setting where consistency, professionalism, and sound clinical judgment matter.

Shift / Schedule

• Day Shift: 6:00 AM – 7:00 PM
• Night Shift: 6:00 PM – 7:00 AM
• 3x12-hour shifts
• Every other weekend required
• 13-week contract to start, with potential for extension / long-term placement

Responsibilities

• Perform nursing assessments, triage, and ongoing monitoring for acute and chronic conditions
• Administer medications and treatments in accordance with provider orders and facility protocols
• Respond to changes in condition and escalate care appropriately
• Collaborate with the onsite healthcare team and coordinate as needed within the facility setting
• Document assessments, interventions, and patient responses accurately in the medical record
• Follow security procedures, infection control standards, and facility guidelines to maintain a safe clinical environment

Required Qualifications

• Active South Carolina RN license
• Minimum 1 year of RN experience in corrections, emergency, behavioral health, med-surg, or another high-acuity clinical setting
• Current BLS/ACLS certification, or ability to obtain prior to start
• Comfortable working in a secure correctional facility environment
• Strong assessment skills, sound clinical judgment, and attention to detail
• Ability to work effectively in a structured environment and follow established protocols
